Festival of Prints Thanksgiving

Hello!  Today's card was inspired by marmie43gs' Day of Gratitude card over at SCS (here).  I loved her layout and decided just to change the color combo.  I ordered a pack of the Festival of Prints DSP when the Holiday Catalog came out back in August but this is the first card I've made with it.  I absolutely {love} the prints and colors, they're beautiful!

Stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Island Indigo, More Mustard, Old Olive, Cajun Craze
Paper: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, More Mustard, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Festival of Prints DSP
Tools & Accessories: Square and corner rounder punches, button, linen thread, dimensionals

Crumb Cake Thanksgiving

Hello!  Today's card was one that was made out of scraps.  I cut out too many leaves and had a bit of extra ribbon laying around and couldn't bear to throw any of it out.
In place of the Leaves #2 die, which is retired, you could use the Autumn Accents Bigz Die from the Holiday Catalog.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade
Tools & Accessories:  Big Shot, Leaves #2 die (retired), Square Lattice embossing folder, grosgrain ribbon (retired), linen thread, button

Thanksgiving

Hello!  Today's card was inspired by LeAnne Pugliese's Fall Sympathy card over at SCS (here).  I loved everything about her card and decided to change the sentiment and use the the Day of Gratitude stamp set.
Again, in the theme of using what I have on hand, I used the retired Poppy Parade ink and card stock to create the fall colors.  Cajun Craze would be an excellent substitution.

Stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Poppy Parade (retired), Old Olive, More Mustard
Paper: Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, First Edition DSP
Tools & Accessories: Big Shot, Bitty Banners framelits dies, button, linen thread

A Top Note Thanksgiving

Hello!  Today's card was inspired by mamamostamps' "Day of Thanks" card over at SCS (here).  I've seen this layout/technique before but have never tried it.  In fact, I've had the Top Note Bigz die sitting, unopened, in my storage box for at least a year (gasp!).  So when I found Maureen's card I knew it was time to try both!
I cut strips of Orchard Harvest DSP slightly larger than the die and adhered them to white card stock.  I then ran that through the Big Shot.

Stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Orchard Harvest DSP
Tools & Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Bigz die, Bitty Banners framelits, Naturals Designer buttons, linen thread, dimensionals

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello!  Today's card uses (wait for it....) the Falling Leaves stamp set, are you surprised?  I just can't get enough of this set.
The color combination for the leaves came from the Spice Cake DSP in the Holiday Mini.  Of course, as soon as my husband saw this card he said: "blue leaves, there are no blue leaves!"  I then had to explain that this was a very popular color scheme and it's perfectly normal to see blue leaves on SplitCoast.  Gotta love him!
And yes, I did cut out all those leaves, but that's my thing.  I find it kinda relaxing to cut them out and I think it adds a little something to the card.

Stamps: Falling Leaves, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pool Party, Soft Suede, More Mustard
Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede
Tools & Accessories: Stampin' dimensionals

I Love, Love {LOVE} This Card!

Can I say that about my own card?!  Well, it's not 100% my card, it was inspired by dancerriley's Happy Thanksgiving card (here) over at SCS.  I instantly loved Riley's layout and since some of her supplies have retired I had to improvise and use what I have on hand.
I will admit that this card did take a bit to create and is certainly not a quick make.  BUT, I think the time and effort is well worth it, especially if you are using it as a Thanksgiving card.

Stamps: Falling Leaves (what else?)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso
Tools & Accessories: Square punch, paper piercing tools, Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals
